Ecole Launches Charity-driven NFT Marketplace

The blockchain Non-profit company plans to roll out its NFT store in two stages. The first will be the main store interface built using the Opensea platform.

The second will be an initiative designed to buy and resell digital art from various artists within the Ecole community.

One of the most powerful, versatile, technological advancements to come out of the last decade or so is blockchain technology. And while people associate the term "blockchain" with cryptocurrencies, and rightfully so, there does exist a whole rich ecosystem of which blockchain is just an albeit quintessential part.

What is blockchain technology?

Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the blockchain.

The recent explosion in popularity of NFTs (Non-fungible tokens) seems to be just one of the many real-world applications of blockchain technology.

It's an NFT world after all.

The provision of accessible tools to track and record thousands of transactions, and to provide transparency.

Digital art sold and tracked as NFTs on the blockchain is just one of the many ways in which artists around the world are realizing the full potential of their talents. NFTs, we believe is just one step forward in the evolution of blockchain technology.

That being said, we, the team at Ecole have decided to launch our very own collection of NFTs.

We plan to make this initiative an ongoing, and collaborative one. We will use funds generated from the sale of digital art in our collection to help move our overall mission forward.
